Vacation Auto-Responders for Mac Mail

Did you know that you can make you’re mac mail program write a vacation response for you? Well I just found that out a few days ago, so now it’s show and tell time. (Speaking of show and tell, does anyone actually remember having to do that. I always hated standing up there in front of my class, “ummm this is a drumstick, you drum with it…”)Open your Mail program, and go to “Preferences.” Select “Rules” on the toolbar and tell it to “Add Rule.” Now give your rule a name, something like “I am going to the Bahamas.” Then make the statement given say the following: “If any of the following conditions are met: to contains and enter your own email address in the text field. Then you’ll want to select “Reply to Message,” from the pulldown, and hit the “Reply Message Text” button and enter your away message. It’s that simple folks, give it a try… and have fun in the Bahamas.
